I watched an early 70s performance of that song on YouTube last night. Awesome stuff. I love how he can hit all those high parts, but there's no mistaking Gillan for anything but a guy. Add Glenn Hughes (ex-Deep Purple bassist and Black Sabbath singer) to the list. Very soulful voice,great range and excellent vibrato.
