Ozzy - Black Rain - Listen to it Here

I bought the record couple of days ago. I must admit it's not so good as I hoped, but it's still a good record. The single I don't want to stop is very good, but I also like Black rain, Silver... not as good as No more tears but a good record!

NMT was great, but everything else has been...well...nvm...

I'll take Jake any day of the week. He was my favourite, not to disrespect Randy, I just preferred Jake's style a bit.

Wow, this album is a major suckfest. Ozzy passed up doing a Sabbath album for *this*?

I never have thought much of Zakk as a riff writer, and he's delivered a whole lot of nothing on this album.

OK, I started this thread and have to admit something. I went out and bought the actual CD. If you discount the 2 suckfest ballads and listen to the rest of the CD on a real sound system, it's actually pretty good. The low bandwidth of the preview site combined with listening to it over computer speakers just didn't do the CD justice. While it's not a groundbreaking CD by any means, it rocks a lot harder than the last one.

I just heard the single for the first time. It sounds like the stuff that White Zombie was doing ten years ago, but without the cool samples. And with a lame vocalist.

OK, so I bought it. It's not bad. But it ain't great, either. Below average, IMHO. And, no, I'm not a Zakk hater, either.

Am I the only one who thinks Ozzy - or maybe the production? - went for a White Zombie or Marilyn Manson-ish vibe, and waaaaayyy over-copped it? Too strong, to the point of cheesmo? Theres some decent songs and riffs buried under the over-done and copy-cat-like song organization and production there. Just MHO.

If Zakk could quit with the fucking squeals I could probably handle listening to new Ozzy stuff. Everytime I hear the Zakk squeal I want to kick him in the nuts.
