I think the whole friggin' band is awesome.

But for even more clarity, the vocalist, and I believe also the drummer, in the video are not the ones on the recording. The new vocalist is described as having the same range as the original vocalist, but having a more "manly" element to his voice.

I think, the vocals on that song is too screamy. I wonder if that guy will be able to sing like that when he gets 40. It's something that you should think of when doing an album.

He sounded like Timmy O..definitely in that ballpark.

                Whhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

BTW..The 80's are over..THIS metal is inspired by 80's metal..you can hear the progression of both production and performance...which is nice.

Huh, what is he singing. The vocalist has some nice range, but I can't understand a word he's singing. Rusty is his usual self, the shredder. He's got his new Dean with that cartoon graphic I see.

Rusty got pretty famous in the last 2 years. Somehow, the shred scene's coming back in a way.

I actually really liked that... all except Rusty's wayyy too long mindless shred fest.

                        The instrumental breakdowns were awesome.

For me, I really dont think it can get much better than this... its... simply... FUCKING PERFECT! Awesome vocals, insane guitars, heavy as fuck but you can still hear whats being played... seriously everyone, THIS IS METAL the way it should be!

I have Outworld and after several listens it revealed the guy is a great player..but not that great of a song writer..his speed and articulatuion seems pointless at times..After a while it's like watching a dog chasing his tail...amusing at first, but get's old quick..

There is PLENTY of fast and firey players that look at the big picture when writing songs..Rusty is not one of them...IMO!!

I'm spoiled, I explored and discovered the best of the best, and digged deep for decades to find them..

Yeah, he's good, but his style is predictable and "safe"..as any neo-classical shredder since Yngwie's debut with Steeler..25 years ago.

I'd much rather listen to players like Uli, Freidman, Tony Mac, Vai, Greg Howe, Paul Gilbert and ect who have more depth..As Far as modern metal..Jeff Loomis owns in my book.

Outworld is cool, but I'd rather listen to Mike Romeo and the many Malmsteen clones thru the years who actualy write great music..but can be boring as well.

The singer in Outworld has major pipes ..like a cross between Halford/Owens..and so many others who are the Opera men of the metal world..whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...but again safe abd something that has been done thousands of times..

I like metal that is "original" as well as polished, no matter what style..Outwold is so fuggin' predictable and something I've heard forever..a progression of Rainbow and Judas Preist..like countless others in my library

Still worth a listen and purchase. I do support all "quality" metal...but Rusty and Outwold is very old hat, and not breaking any new ground or raising any bars whatsoever...he's just one in a infinite sea of great players..that some have fixated on...and that's cool..he's good and many others...But there is better!!!

At the end of the day it's all about the music.

I was going to do a review of Outworld on my thread..but since this topic is Rusty..fuggit..

Many complain about Glen Drover, he may not be as technical and flashy as Rusty, but he is far more original ..prolly why he gets the gigs he does.

Outworld get a solid 6.5...which is pretty good.
