Cool, I hope he can remain level headed and keep buisness and personal matters seperate. He NEEDS to get his REAL band (Mike and Dave) back together and record a new album and support it..playing all the classics too.

I would like to see him on a good stride...and that would do it. He's the man that made me want to play guitar, and would like to hold him in that same regaurd.

The last I saw Ed and VH was on the FUCK tour in '90 ..I was second row center and he really was on his game ..his tone was awesome and I got the chills as soon as I heard that powerdrill before the lights came on..the band sounded tits!!

Some band called Alice In Chains opened for them..nobody knew who they were , so the arena was pretty empty while they were playing..I was by sitting by myself approx 25 feet from them soaking it all in..a night I'll never forget..

I gave up waiting after years of hoping and being in a VH trib years ago..which burnt me out on VH..something I thought could never happen..but playing that material every weekened for a long time just got old..it took me some years to put on some VH to actually enjoy it again.

You must understand..I listened to nothing but VH for such a long time back in the day. I remember events in my life by the year certain VH album came out...this is true...My VH timeline.

I still have the original 1978 1st Vinyl I (I barrowed from a friend and never gave back) and the 1978 VH logo belt buckle..with the year 1978 stamped on the back..

I could go on forever about VH..how my old (VH trib) bud bought every piece of the exact gear Ed used including all the MXR stomps, Variac, and Echopex and Space echo units to nail his tone..

I bought the very first 5150 in my area..I bought as soon as it came out..still have the instruction manual for it and footswitch!

I was listening to Sirius's "Hair Nation" tonight on the way home from work and the DJ was saying how she has "inside info" from a friend who spoke to Alex VH. She said that Alex told this person that the tour WILL be coming soon (possibly this summer!) It will be just as it was before, Dave in and Michael Anthony out still. I guess we'll have to wait and see!!
