Man, so much emotion. He has to be exhausted after playing a set.

I have the whole video, '90 or '91 in Montreux, fucking great live, he plays some sweet Gibbys, Heritage and a Strat... thru SLO-100. Durning that time he had the best tone.

This is a great cover, I love Gary's tone, feel and style more than Roy Buchanan's

I'm really digging that they're releasing all these old Montreux performances now - Moore, Rory Gallagher, Jeff Healey. I'm just hoping they'll release Living Colour's 2001 performance (although I've already ripped it off )

If you get a chance, check out the Thin Lizzy/Phil Lynott memorial show DVD he did last year...if you're a Thin Lizzy fan, Gary just KILLS it! And on songs he hadn't played in years...amazing!

If you like Gary, check out his brother Cliff http://www.cliffmoore.com/ , or alternatively Cliff joining me and my band on stage http://home.clara.net/fatcat/wsm06.htm (Cliff's playing the Honeyburst LP, me playing the Cherry LP). Cliff's one of the nicest guys you could meet, a very humble but immensely competent musician/songwriter.

Last time I saw him I asked him about Gary's white Charvel, and apparently he's still got it, though it hasn't been out on the road for a long time.

Gary's playing locally next Sun but unfortunatlely we're gigging in the next town, but next Sat night we're back at this venue so who knows, perhaps we'll get the 2 brothers up on stage this time
