I know this is an older topic, but I just found it and since Chris is one of my all time favorites, I thought I'd point you to his gear section of his website

He has changed gear quite a bit since then, but goes back and forth between different set-ups..

Actually he posted in his tour diary from last year that he was still using the Pod, but had his Randall as well. I am not sure what gear he was using for what sounds on the tour, but he said that he was incorporating the Randall in and playing with the tone he was getting from it.

All I know is the 3 tours I have teched for him, the set-up has been different each time. He also has 3 differnt B tunings..
Does NOT match up 100% with what is posted... just trying to let you know what I actually saw/set up/worked with versus what is written...

I don't doubt what you're saying at all. You're the one with your hands on it all! I had forgotten about all the Randall stuff he talked about for this last tour. Are you teching just for his stuff with Doro or are you doing TSO also?

I just do his solo stuff (It's all good tour Spring '05, Faces tour Fall '05, European tour warmup show April '07, then the Doro tour earlier this year - did both Chris and Doro's backline)
Chris and I spoke at length about his various rigs and set-ups. The Randall had been incorpated by the end of the tour and they were using an iso cab... and Chris had switched away from in-ears again..

They (Doro/Chris) are playing a fest in WA today - they didn't want to pay to fly me out for a 1 day fest

I always got a kick reading in his diaries about all the in-ear monitor problems he had.

Thats really sweet that you get to do that, though. Ever since the Savatage days Chris has been one of my all time faves
