I mean how could you possibly doubt a performance like that?

did you see how dirty his fretboard was at 33 sec? His guitar techs need to come here to learn on how to give it a good cleaning with motor oil.F@cking newb.

Newb? Are you serious? Some people dislike the way a clean fretboard feels,I'm that way ,especially with maple fretboards...have you ever seen some of EVH's old fretboards??? I guess he's a newb too...

We're talking about a legend here, someone who even influenced Hendrix, and if that doesn't mean anything,go ask your mom,or for you younger guys your granny how impressive he was,and how sore she was the day after.

God only knows how many people Clapton has inspired ,but there's a damn good chance alot of your "heroes" were...and most people nowadays could learn alot about song writing, singing and tasteful melody from this man....sure it's simple music,it's meant to be,but it's about the song and not the wank-off guitar playing.

So open your mind and your ears,it's good for you.

Clapton's playing has never interested me in any way ever, nor, for that matter, has Hendrix's. If any of my heroes have been influenced by Clapton, that's their business; I for one am thankful that they haven't allowed their influences to be so obvious as to spoil my listening pleasure.

same here. it depends on the mood, but when the feeling's right, I still love to crank up a bit of Cream

Another vote for boring. Never could stand the guy. Puts me to sleep. Bores me to hell. Whatever you want to call it...

I'm more of a David Gilmore guy anyway...
                      I'm angry because you're stupid

I would never say he "sucks" or deny the huge impact he's had, just personally I don't find his playing all that interesting. I too like listening to Cream on occasion...but not so much for Clapton's guitar work.

He is a boring player most of the time (to me) but a great song writer, a really good singer and that song from the movie Phenomenom with John Travolta is really good. I really liked the movie too.

I enjoy his music alot, with Cream and solo, but he has got to have the most generic guitar style or lack of a distinctive style ever.

I don't think even his fans could recognize a solo of his if it was not in one of his songs.

Plus he's partly responsible for John Mayer and he's often referenced by people who say things like:

"You can say alot more with one note than just running up and down the neck"
