Clapton played the lead guitar on the album version too. Major props for that, one of my favorite songs ever!

Yeah, the album version rocks as well. I love that nobody knew it was him for YEARS.

For me. I love Clapton he's the best out there I got a friend that says he has NO style???? But some one tell me how can he not have style he's one of the first and best out there and he always will be he is the one that made me pick up the guitar that's why I play to this day. Oh and some one said that the young players don't respect the older players I just won't to say that I'm 17 now and I have like all of the older bands like skynyrd pink floyd CCR and some newer bands like creed and then I like the older stuff like Johny cash.
I also like softer bands like John prine. So I like a wide range of music.
No music is bad to me it's just If I like it our not........

          Peace out................................

well, there goes the "you can recognise him by his vibrato/the first three notes" argument

It wasn't until the Concert For Bangladesh that people realized Clapton played the solo and not George. I guess the leadwork was pretty different, but Harrison made Clapton play it a certain way so it would sound "Beatles-y". haha

Clapton is like coffee, they both suck without Cream. Just kidding, Clapton rocks. I watched one of his concerts a couple years back and he was playing out of a Soldano and his tone was killer. I haven't heard him sound like that since...
