  • Slayer/Marilyn Mason

I got floor tickets in the amphitheater 09.01.07 - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre , San Antonio, TX. I might Die. But I am going with my brother who is a tank... Might make it up front. Anyone catching this tour? If so lets hear about it. I want set list, stage set up, encores, number of casualties etc. Not so excited about m/m but the strippers on stage are fun. Not as good as rob zombie but it's what we get.
Tour starts 07.27.07 - Ford Amphitheatre , Tampa, FL.

I'm going to the Atlanta show this Saturday. I'm not sure if I'll stay for Manson though.

      What?

If you leave before m/m you will miss the main attraction.

:ROTF: Who are you going to see?

Well, If John 5 is playing touring with MM..that should make it much more interesting.

My singer bro told me this is the most guitar oriented MM album..including a couple solos. I haven't heard it tho.

Dave Lombardo is one of mty kid's favorite drummers, but he can take or leave Slayer..Mainly due to Araya's monotone shouting consistantly on the beat...Shout along with Tom on the bouncing ball..

That's just fuggin' Slayer..I love 'em.

From what I've read, it sounds like they're co-headlining and getting same amount of time on stage. Luckily Slayer goes on first, so now I have a reason to try and get tickets and call out of work.

Did Tim Skold play bass and guitar on the new album?

Yes. He used to be in Shotgun Messiah and KMFDM. On the current MM tour however, Rob Holliday will be on bass.

Cool. I know he played bass in SM, and then he wound up singing for them as well, and I know he was also in KMFDM. He also had a great solo album, Skold, in the mid '90s. I gotta dig that CD out of the collection now, too!

I couldn't get myself to buy tickets to see slayer in such a huge venue.

I agree with this. Slayer is much better in a small place. I have seen them many times and the smaller the place the better. I wouldn`t go to this if you paid me. Slayer should never tour with Manson let alone open for them Jack.

most guitar oriented Manson album, huh?

thats so ironic, i guess Manson wanted to step up the flavor just as John 5 leaves???

And John 5 is touring with Zombie, nowadays.

who Is playing guitar for Manson, now? is it Tom Skold?
