If it were '83 again, I'd be 11. I'd like to be younger, but not that young!

      Agreed.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Dave cannot STFU, can he? And I love him throwing out a "skinny" reference when asked a question about Wolfie. WTF?

Man, I was just waiting for the moment, during that video, when Eddie would snap and go for Dave's throat.
I'm noticing Wolfie looks kinda looks like Will Sasso, formally of MadTV.
          I'm not Ron!

What the hell did the dood with the porkchops say....? It sounded like one long 15 minute sentence. All I could hear was "get ready to pay $700 bucks for a ticket in the first 10 rows". Check All Access that's what they want.

That's all I can say, I was cracking up most of the time listening to that. DLR is the man!

I dunno...but that sounds a lot like the grammy interview in 2001 or whatever. The last time they tried this before the last time. Dave was like "this ain't the old Van Halen..this is something newer and bigger". Deju vu all over again. DLR reminds me of a guy that sold me my first car. Ever check you oil to find more anti-freeze than oil on the dipstick?

You know Dave would wear a clownsuit if Eddie told him too. He's only in on this until he no longer pleases Ed. Hopefully your city in on the front part of the list, rather than the later part. Something tells me Dave is going to wake up on the side of the road in Nebraska and relaize that he's been Mustaine'd

"Whooo? whaaa? Ughhhhh...where am I? Corn..stalk poking me in back? Mutha-fuckin-dutch-s.o.b....he did it again!"

Dave honestly sounded very good. No...he did not sound exactly like he did in the late 70's to early 80's. But he was still really good vocally & still every bit the entertainer he ever was.

Hell...does anyone in their 50's sound quite like they did in their 20's vocally?
                  Yes... Glenn Hughes!!

And all of those 5-star packages are selling out in minutes. Who knows how many they are actually selling, but people are shelling out the cash for those.

I'll be happy just to be in the building and pay at the most $150 plus Ticketbastard fees.

They sell quick because a lot of corporations buy them for their client events, we do that as well.

Whoa... got pricing for the show here in Phx. $140 for nose bleeds!!!
$285 for the floor!!! That's just tickets... nothing else!
                        Fuck that shit.
Greedy bastards... if Mike was with them and it was a "reunion" tour and not 3/4th a reunion tour, maybe.
But VH with Wolfie... not even close.
I'll wait for a bootleg video of a show.

I will just cherish my memories of seeing VH in 1984 and Unchained cranking as they took the stage.

Also saw them with Hagar when they played their legendary free downtown outdoor make-up show on the street in Dallas Alley in 1991. Tens of thousands of people crammed in the streets at lunch time for a make up show after Sammy's voice went south at the Texas Jam. Was awesome. Very cool of VH to do that.

Texas Jam was soooooo cool that year with VH, Metallica, Scorpions, Dokken and Kingdon Come (the Monsters of Rock Tour).

Too bad Michael Anthony won't be there to support Dave's voice when it crumbles.

Monsters of Rock was '88 (the only time I've seen VH, actually). Which is funny you mention that because I was thinking about it the other day, trying to remember the order of the bands. I know KC was first (and only about 30 minutes, thank God), and Scorps then VH closed it out. But I can't remember if Dokken was second, then Metallica, or if it was Metallica then Dokken. I'm guessing it was the former.

Edit - and, yes, I am envious of you seeing them in 1984

I've only seen VH once and that was in 1984. I remember them not sounding that great but I think at least part of that was the arena and another was probably booze and drugs.

I really hope this new tour works out (I'll await the reviews) and that there is some new kick-butt VH material in the future.
Takeoffs are optional but landings are mandatory.
