So how did he do it?

is it possible he just played one of the songs a step up...its pretty easy just to play unchained a step higher so its in e flat not drop d flat? thants what i do when i'm mucking around

listen to the end of the clip.
he tunes down the E string himself "manually" for lack of a better term
before they kick into the song.

Samurai you ¨could¨ play it like that but you miss the bottom end chunck of the tune thats really important in that song.
