  • I Love These Guy's - .38 Special

Back in '83 I saw these guy's in their prime. What a guitar duo. I always loved the Allman Bros., the Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, etc. But, Don Barnes and Jeff Carlisi just nailed it with .38 Special. I was goofing around on the guitar tonight and was playing the Riff From "Hold On Loosely" . I thought of these great guitar players with catchy riffs.
Check the Vid. Good Stuff! Donnie just cracks me up. He always seemed to be having a blast

They're cool, definitely. Maybe not "shred o riffic" but just fun, good time tunes. I never turn them off when a .38 Special song comes on the radio.

I'd love to form a Southern Rock band, and call it ".357 Magnum". It would pretty much be like .38 special, but the sets would be a bit longer, we'd look a little more fearsome, and there'd be a bit more "bang".

My 2nd concert was .38 Special. Great beards in that band. Can't go wrong with their blend of southern and modern rock. Jeff and Don are both great guitarists...
