Wow, that's another person saying that Vandenberg crushed Viv on the Whitesnake tour. I need to check out some of his stuff, I know about his solo album from around '84, any other recommendations?

Edit - and if he blew away Viv on that tour, how did he fair on the next tour with Vai?

Well Adrian did stay with Coverdale and put out a Whitesnake 10 years ago..he's the only player on it. Since it was '97 they didn't emphasize on "solos" ..and it was only released in Japan.

George is one of the few that survived after the 80's ended.
Whereas, most either sold old to the grunge era or just dropped off the face of the earth.

George on the other hand is still rockin, not as stellar as he used to be, but still rockin. He has his dojo, still recording cover tunes and original tunes, Randall amp and modules, guitar store/clinic tours to promote his stuff, Mob tours, signature guitars that sell well. Not to shabby if you ask me.
George doesn't seem to be hurting financially. George is keeping busy.
Thats more than I can say for alot of the 80's guns still around.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

Pretty cool to have that experience in your back pocket!

Viv's work with Dio still makes me turn it up. George did much more work that I love. My old band would complain that even on Beatles covers, I sounded like Lynch. Lynch isn't releasing much lately and much of what he does, is not up to a Mr. Scary level. I saw him at the Troubadour not that many years ago and he ripped. My vote goes to George.

I saw Malmsteen on the first two US tours and he was amazing. At G3, not so much.
