I loved that Beyonce song about "to the left, to the left... " I forget what it's called now though.

Music is music, unless it's patently horrible, most of it has an acceptable time, place or context. Nothing to be embarassed about. Or so I tell myself

+1 on "Eyes Without A Face"
Also, many pre-"Saturday Night Fever" Bee Gees hits.
Can't think of them right now...too early.

I think the only non-metal CD I've bought in the past 30 years was Missing Persons. For some reason I always thought their songs could be turned into great metal tunes. But then again, maybe I was just mezmerized by Dale Bozzio's huge boobs and lack of clothing ???

Just watch this video and tell me that song isn't metal(kinda). This is the one with the boobs that always killed me:

Ahhhhh.......... time to put on Slayer Reign in Blood for admitting that one.

I'm a big Tori Amos fan. Though, I've never been embarrassed about it. I love her voice and piano playing. Hell, she even did a cover album, with one of the songs being Slayer's Raining Blood!

I absolutely LOVE that song. In fact, Hi Infidelity is one of my all time favs. I also like the album that came right after that, Good Trouble.

And for the guy that mentioned David Cassidy, I also have The Partridge Family's Greatest Hits and like every song on it. Good stuff.

And finally, I'm a huge John Denver fan. Love his stuff. I saw him in concert and was lucky enough to meet him after the show. He died pretty soon after that.

pretty much any Autograph stuff, but its really great music, way better than that POS Dead Leopard, or Sick Cougar or whatever that F'n band is.

I had a great love for the early 80's Brit Pop like Culture Club, A Flock Of Seagulls and Adam and the Ants and The Thompson Twins and whatnot. So those had to be hidden. But now? Who cares...
I think I'm a bit like you there, I no longer care what my peers think about what I listen to. Something I'd have denied as a youngster I'd admit to now. I even like synth stuff and some dance music. As you said, who cares!

The Gods made heavy metal, and they saw that it was good. They said to play it louder than Hell, we promised that we would.

So cheesy yet so awesome. Manowar kills!
