  • Phil Collen doubleneck reverse-headstock Jackson - VIDEO

Never seen Phil play this one before!

    Details? I can't quite tell whether it's a neckthrough or bolt-on.

Sure looks great... i'll bet he only plays it for 1 song? Heavy!

That's got bat inlays, and I believe Brooks owns that one. I think it had bolt-on necks, but I can't seem to find a pic of it at the moment.

Here's a pic in the Gallery. Don't know if it's the exact same one or just a replica.

I'm pretty sure Brooks' guitar is a replica....
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Ah. I know Brooks owned a few of Phil's guitars, so I wasn't sure about this one.

I tried checking Brooks' website but found that it was down. Damn, right when I'm really into Def Leppard and wanting to know more about the gear, I can't.

I think i remember that Brooks wrote on his homepage that he first only had a black-white pic of the double neck and had to find out the color before making his replica so i am quite sure his is not the original (but cool non the less).

Brooks is a member of the forum, under the moniker BGWwebguy... but I haven´t seen him around for a while. His double neck was a replica, and they are bolt-ons. Here´s his new site, and I guess some Collen info might still be found on the Rock ´n Roll side of the site.

That rig from Wikipedia must be from the early nineties, since it´s been ages since the Randall stuff. I think they´ve used various tube heads thru a Palmer since Euphoria... mostly JMP1´s and JCM2000´s live but also a slew of other stuff in the studio.

I have always been a Phil Collen fan.

                        Great pics!

Is Brooks the guy always selling Phils gear or gear signed by him?
