I just can't get used to the shape of those, I think they look like shit. I played an Eb/MM about a year ago and it was really uncomfortable to me. I hope his line succeeds though.

I wonder if it is because Ed taps so much that when his arm is over the fretboard, he won't knock the switch into the neck pickup position by accident. I do that sometimes when I play my Les Paul.

My question is what price do you think it will have? I dont like the old peaveys so I dont think I'll like the new ones either. Im just curious if it will be priced the same as the old USA peavey wolfgangs or will there be a huge price increase for basically the same guitar

I constantly hit my volume knob on my SD-1 Koa..it's dangerously close to where your hand rests. So as you're chuggin' away..you can hear it gradually "clean up"..I HATE that!!!

It's my main guitar since '95..you'd think I'd adjust my playing to avoid that..but you really can't..it's right fuggin' there.

WRT to price, I'll be shocked if they aren't quite a bit more expensive than the Peaveys, especially if they stick with all the birdseye. The Charvel upcharge for a birdseye neck is $600 + an automatic bump to Masterbuilt pricing, iirc. Only a master can handle this highly volatile substance...

But then again, didn't EVH specify that ALL the USA Peavey Wolfie's had to use figured maple tops, regardless of the final finish option? That would have driven the cost up a bit, so maybe the difference won't be quite as much...

I dig that new proto, anyways. Much more of a fan of the Peavey sig than either the banana headstock or the EBMM.

Its a good thing I think the Wolfgang body style is ugly. Now I won't have GAS for one

EVH Musicmans and Wolfgangs had some of the best playing necks ever

we have a winner! when Ed was working with Peavey he said he had the switch wired backwards because he hated when he tapped on a les paul and had the pickup switch to the neck when he wanted it on the bridge. so he had it wired backwards and was good to go

however...i think Peavey wanted to put 2 knobs on the guitar (a volume and tone) because it made it more marketable. Ed said "i dont need to knobs...i just need the volume!" i cant say who won...do the Wolfgangs have 2 knobs? LOL

The Wolfgang Specails have just a volume but the Standards have 2 knobs.
I dont care either way. I usualy have the tone all the way up anyway. But i do use it on a couple of my guitars.

stole the body shape of the MM/Peavey?? How is this "Ok"?

I've played the Peavey before and wasn't that impressed, not saying it was horrible or anything mind you. Never did play the EB MM but I do have a Petrucci EB MM and if its anything like that then thats good. Still, to me the Wolfgang body style is to guitar bodies as the Charvel Sears headstock is to headstocks...Ugly!

IIRC the body design is EVH´s intellectual property, so no
