    What was 357 deal?
    I missed that one....

The squeals are a John Sykes deal for sure and yes he pulls them too often. But so does EVH with the tapping.
Sure he's got a signature model on just about everything, but soap or laundry detergent. But he's got to make a living.
Again, I wouldn't put up there with Randy, EVH, Hendrix, etc. but he can handle his own more than respectably. IMHO.

Awe c'mon, I wouldn't say Zakk is worse than Sharon. It is interesting that a dislike of Ozzy isn't even on the list of the top three reasons for people not wanting to give Ozzy money!

wow, a lot of dislike for Zakk here. I don't know him personally.... but I really like Black Label Society. Yeah his look has morphed over the years, but did you ever see the early pictures of Dimebag?

I thought the loose translation of nunchaku was "owwwwww my face and balls hurt REAL BAD!!" :ROTF:

I don't think anyone should be ashamed of what they did in the past looks-wise. The thing with Zakk was he wasn't himself (he was pretending to be Randy - or liked him so much he had the same hair, pants, shirt, guitar, and myseriously covered his face with his hair in most shots to be confused with Randy). Then magically became a burly biker.

No big deal, but Dimebag was a glam guitar god of the 1980s that morphed into a heavier sound/band.
Dime didn't try to mangle his face by ramming a delorean into a telephone pole to be like Ace and wear a space suit on stage, then start wearing a giant belt buckle and chewin tobacco to cover George Straight tunes. Glam faded and he found a new look/sound.

Again I have to say Zakk has talent and is no doubt a great guy one on one. His work on BLS and Ozzy are good too. I believe he is the main writer for Ozzy nowadays and has been since he joined up with Ozzy, but I may be wrong. Zakk definitely gave Ozzy a new lease on musical life even though I think Jake E Lee was outstanding.

On that video, it made me a little ucomfortable, cause I know Zakk is a huge Eddie fan and I think it would have been nice for Eddie/Dave to have him up on stage.

If I didn't know better, I was thinking Dave didn't recognize Zakk and was talking down to an overzealous fan, but he could have also been busting Zakk's balls.

Zakk was very supportive of Ed when Eddie was making an ass of himself at Dime's funeral. Zakk could and should have punched Ed in the mouth then. His handling of that unfortunate moment was cool.

The difference is that Dimebag didn't start some fake wannabe motorcycle poser club when HE himself doesn't even ride, and had to be hauled around on a bike in a trailer for one of their videos. Interestingly enough the man he blames for the whole fiasco, that he claims no knowledge of IS the guy who is standing in for him actually riding the bike. I highly doubt someone like Dimebag, who was really into his fans, and was a huge fan of guitar and guitarists would have not been a stand up guy and done the right thing by not selling out his fans in such an incident.

Zakk had a chance to make it right, but blew it in the eyes of many, especially those that got ripped off, myself included. While the man might be a good guitar player, integrity scores alot of points in my book, and he threw any he might have had out the window when he failed to act. I'd like to think that someone like Dime would have stood up for his fans, made it right, and in the end shown that he was a better person, and he would not have lost any fans but most likely made hordes of new ones.

                            Jeffrey's (Zakk) loss.

Funny. After coming here and posting for, what, the last couple years, I never knew anything about that, and wondered what all the references were all about, so I followed that thread-link, and read up. Man, that was quite the intriguing piece! It was almost like a well-written book, it had it's ups and downs, comedy, and, of course tragedy, and it got quite depressing near the tail end. And while I feel sorry for all those who got hosed, and can't help but scratch my head over why so many jump onboard, AND why there was a percentage that stayed on that sinking ship LONG after it had SUNK! Sorry, but a chopper shop selling chotchkies with the promise of a free guitar? And THEN, all the excuses? Come on, I could smell the horse@#$* a mile away. Many of us want to think that people, deep down, are kind (myself included), but, sadly, there are many who walk among us who give a @#*$ about nobody but themselves. I, for one, am hoping for karmic payback, and Daniel finally meets his match in a back alley.
                                I'm not Ron!
