Weird - the wiki page says Tommy Aldridge was there on backing vocals but not to play drums?
I thought Malmsteen and Lynch were far and away the best on that track. Gillis has a distinctive style but I don't really care for his playing on that particular solo. I do like his Night Ranger stuff with Jeff Watson

I remember the first time I ever saw him play was when he filled in for the rest of the Ozzy tour when Randy Rhoades died. I had tickets for the original show but it was postponed because of the tragedy. When Ozzy came back 2 or 3 months later to finish the tour, Brad Gillis was playing. I remember thinking how awesome he played that night. Unbelievable for stepping in at the last minute and basically "nailing" Randy's solos. I was very impressed and made sure I bought all his stuff with Night Ranger later on.Guitars:
Charvel: USA Pro Mod Slime Green
1988 Model 2,
Jackson: Dinky HSS 'Blue/Orange Flame'
RR3
Gibson: 1978 Les Paul Spl Dbl Cut
1992 LP Studio 'Lite'
2005 SG Special

My faves were Lynch, Malmsteen, Gillis, and Goldy. I thought Lynch had the most "fire" and attitude in his playing out of everyone though (I wonder where the hell that went when I hear him these days). Buck Dharma and Neil Schon played a few cool things as well. Everyone sounded decent to me except Carlos Cavazo and Eddie Ojeda...weak.

My favorite parts of the solo fall in line with the rest. I hadn't watched that for a few years. I'm bummed all over again that uncle Ted and Amir and Chris from Rough Cutt didn't get a few licks in. It was Chris that first made me want to try a Kelly.
