This is not a good start, I think. I haven't met Dio personally, but I have heard plenty of good things about him, and anyone as big as he, that takes the time he does with fans is a class act. I've had the privelege of meeting other stars, some perfect a-holes, and some you wouldn't expect were great. I would love to meet Dio, and I certainly wouldn't waste his time with nonsense.

        • Shob does an awesome cover of the classic "Rob Mules". He puts a nice lyrical spin about Rob Halford and a Mule..It's genuis! Rob plays himself, and Sharon Osborne plays the mule. Shobet plays all intruments including the tuba, kazoo, mouth harp, ect.. Rob sings, while hitting the cowbell with his pud. Brad Gillis does a cameo solo..where his whammy bar in lodged in Sharon's balloon knot ..Brad then slaps her ass making his famous cricket noises..

This was Dio and Shob's idea. To raising money for Nad replacement for married dudes..who sold their vettes, amps, guitars, and guns for minivans and baby strollers.
Also to put nads back into Vivian Cambell's sack, so he won't be afraid of the guitar anymore, but he declined. That's why Dio is mad.

            • I am not suprised at all, and in my opinion Viv deserves it. Dio gave Vivian his first big break, and now he wants to talk smack about Ronnie? No doubt that Viv is a great player, and probably would have "made his mark" elsewhere in music eventually. But that is just tacky in my opinion to talk smack about the guy that gave you a shot at touring the world at such a young age.

Thru the 80's I saw Def Lep every time they came thru town....and although they were good, it was basically a pop-rock show to go to pick up big haired scantily clad hot slutty 80's chicks. I don't care about album sales and I don't know the legistics, but I also went to every Crue show that came thru as well. Musically, they were better, put on a better show, had better looking, sluttier chicks in the crowd and although they did get poppy, there were always those songs with an edge as well........so from expierience.....history tells me, Crue owns them.

I remember some of those nights, actually, for those who don't know, Cinderella came out of the Empire first, and Mike and the original drummer from Britny were the original players for Cinderella, but the label said they "didn't fit the look" so they were shown the door that's where Fred Coury and Jeff Labar came in. Britny Fox was formed immediately after and it did not take long for them to get signed after that, so there really weren't too many of those nights you spoke of. Billy Childs is a good friend of mine and the rest of my band. He actually played with us for a couple years, and is one of the coolest motherfuckers you'd ever meet I can guarantee that for sure. And yes, I know the Heaven's Edge guys too.....lol Reggie is an amazing player for sure.

Ok back to the real topic here......Vivian is a douchebag...end of story.
Dio is a great guy, plus his niece, although she has a butterface is a great slutty pornstar named Gen Padova....check her out.
I remember the Empire well...we used to play there in the early 90's. Other clubs we played were Bonnie's Roxx, the Cellblock, the Chestnut and Ambler Cabarets, Kyber Pass, Dobbs...and a few more whose names escape me.
There was still all sorts of Cinderella shwag upstairs at the Empire when we were playing there...flyers, posters, song lists, etc.
Lots of great times were had in that place!!!

The Empire Rock Club is still a legend in the Philadelphia Tri-State Area. Slayer played there on the “Show No Mercy” tour in early-mid ’84. The all age metal shows started right after that and I went every week no matter who was playing. I remember Jeff LaBar and several other good lead guitarists used to trade places as second lead in two bands named “Precious Metal” and “White Fox.” These shows were usually good because the songs turned into lead guitar fests, and they’d start trading leads and burning it up for five or ten minutes at a time. I liked the first drummer in Cinderella. I used to like to stand side stage and watch him because he played complicated beats and did tricks at the same time. He’d spin his sticks, throw them a few feet in the air, catch them, and continue back into the beat or a drum lick without ever messing up. I couldn’t watch him for more than a minute or two without cracking a smile. I’m pretty sure Fred Coury came in for their last Empire show, but I think they were better with the first drummer. Remember the “Anvil Bitch” and “Black Task” shows? They were fucking wild. I used to get thrown out all the time! Yep, some great nights at the Empire.

                  • I hate to burst all of your bubbles, but Vivian rules and always has. He is a way better guitar player than any of you will ever be. He is technically better than Iommi or Blackmore. Dio is one of the best singers ever, but he needs to pay up the money he scammed not just from Viv but from many other people during his now defunct career. Oh, and Def Leppard rules too. Pyromania is the second most perfect record EVER made, after Boston's first. Here's a little Viv for you to enjoy with some kind words from Ronnie James who. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCszTnkdN4w

I don't know if scammed is the right word regarding Campbell, although he does claim that he was severely underpaid.......making less than the lighting guys/sound guys from the road crew while a member of RJD's band.

Defunct? What planet do you live on? He has consistently released new albums and toured. Not to mention the fact that he just finished a major headlining tour with Heaven and Hell.

Well, if Dio "underpaid" you or whatever you call it you would'nt be so quick to stick up for him. Viv has released albums and had tours also, even if your taste is not good enough for Def Leppard.
