I was kidding there. Of course, loved B&B, and the dig at Winger.

Stewart and his especially his parents were tools.

I introduced my 8 year old son to some B&B reruns this summer which he loved but then I got to thinking, wasn't I like 18 and in college when I was watching this?

          • Bill's about to pop a blood vessel!

There are so many cool bands out there, why is everyone getting so out of shape over Def Leppard? I can think of better ways of expending energy (although I'm at work and the wife is 140km away)

                      • Deflep, the wife and I hung out with Reb and his wife while supporting Erase The Slate. He's aboslutely amazing..I still have a couple Winger cds. Their first when Reb caught my attention and "Pull" which I think is their best cd IMO. I also have Reb's "Masquerade" cd.

I surprised him because I knew that he played the solo on Twisted Sister's "Hot Love"..he stated "Wow, they didn't even know who I was or cared..I was just a hired gun". It was Dee's idea because everyone pushed the shred envelope, and wanted to keep up I suppose.

My main geetar is a 95' San Dimas Koa SDII, and play it everday since. I also have a flawless green quilted maple over walnut SD III that I NEVER play, both look very similiar to Phil Collen's strathead Jackson..

I never seen that Reb Beach Ibanez WRB ..I guess that was before the Voyager model...right?

I assume that should go up in value..

I thought Winger was the lamest band on the planet until I bought Pull in a discount bin in some store. Then I was hooked!

Since then Reb has been in my list of top 5 favorite guitarists.

This WRB was only made in small quantities in Japan ... supposedly 100.

It came out prior to the Voyagers. I have a KOA RBMNT2 in mint condition as well as a RBM1 in black that I got customized with EMGs.

I also had the red version of the WRB that he used in the Cutting Loose VHS lesson.

I sold that because it was overkill...lol.

I found the "Sahara" WRB on a message board where this guy in Malaysia sells stuff to the local market...I was skeptical and thought I would never see my money again but it arrived safe and sound....

I love the guitar..the action is amazing and the pick ups sound hotter than my other EMG enabled axes.

                          Alex

                          • Reb is a REALLY underrated guitarist, and he always brings his "A" game in a live situation.

I loved Winger (check out their latest, Winger IV), and Reb made a significant contribution to their songwriting and vocal sound.

Not to mention his work with Dokken. "Erase the Slate" was the disc they should have made when Lynch was back in the band. I think that CD put them back on the map- at least a little- and allowed them to continue.

                            So, in summary- Reb rocks!

There's always good and bad floating around out there about anyone in the public eye, and that goes for both Viv and Dio.

Dio has a reputation for really being great to the fans, but not maybe the easiest person to work for in a band. Can't say, never met him. In any case, it was his show to run as he saw fit. That can often be hard to take, but that was the deal. Viv left when he didn't like it or couldn't take it anymore- just like anyone leaving an employer.

I haven't heard much about Viv personally, so I won't badmouth him. But I do think he has said some pretty strong and goofy things in interviews over the years regarding his time with Dio and metal in general. Maybe Dio treated him well, and maybe he didn't. If not, I can understand some bitterness. But I think Vivian needs to own up to the fact that his real mark in music was made from his work with Dio, and that gig allowed him to have the great career he has put together for himself since.

Can't we all just get along?
