  • Is it just me, or Yngwie....

Is it just me or does Yngwie's picking hand and his left hand look to move slower than what he is playing? I see him play and his fingers don't move a lot but he is flying thru the neck.

That's funny, I've noticed that too. He must have that "economy of motion" thing down. Unlike when I try playing his stuff and my hands are flailing all over that place

I noticed that Glen Tipton plays like that too. His fingers barely raise of the fretboard during his leads.

+1 on Tipton too. Watch a live clip of an uptempo song like Electric Eye, it doesn't even look like he's playing the song!

MAB is like that as well. Doesn't even look like his picking hand is moving most times.

His hands are stuck to the fretboard with the filling from Jelly Donuts.

I will say this, the guy is like a freakin' Vulcan Cannon with the picks...they come flying out at the audience in a visible stream.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Thats cause he keeps his fingers very close to the strings at all times,so it appears that they arent moving that fast.
