That was incredible, and funny too.

I am still trying to talk my wife into going to New York with me to check out Les at the Iridium jazz club. I am not even sure that he is still doing the gig, but I heard that on Sundays (or Mondays) he still holds the "jazz sit ins" for his friends and himself. If it is still an active gig, I need to check it out ASAP before he cannot or will not do it anymore.

I saw him summer of '95 at Fat Tuesday's in NYC. It was one of the coolest things that I've ever done in my life. Les was as cool as a person could be and worked the crowd like a champ...he probably could have been a stand up comedian had he chosen.

AFAIK, he still has a Monday night gig at the Iridium. Everyone owes it to themselves to see this true legend while you still can.

Yeah +1 to all the comments. I just got that DVD documentary. Both Mary and Les were shredders. Les is not as fast as he once was, but still going with a lot of neat sounds. The DVD is well worth the price and it has a lot of extra's including TV commercials they used to do.

Cool, that is great news. I need to make the trip, either with my wife or without.......

We keep having schedeule conflicts, and she just wants to go to the City, so she does not understand my "rush" to do this.

They are playing prototype guitars, note the tailpieces and the prototype pickups. The ones they were playing were probably for them to review so that Gibson could refine the design to meet their demands.
