  • New Exodus - The Atrocity Exhibition

Today thru Oct. 22 you can listen to the entire new CD before it's released. This CD destroys Shovel Headed Killing Machine. The songs are 8 plus minutes long each. Exodus got the producer back who did Tempo of the Damned. They are calling this "their Master of Puppets". It's pretty damned solid.

EXODUS's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates.

I don't listen to this kind of stuff very often, but the music sounds pretty damn good.

That is also the best myspace profile I have ever seen.

"Baloff is God" as we were fond of saying back in the day at Ruthie's...although the new stuff holds it's own, Sneap does a good job at production...looking forward to thrashing about when they hit San Diego in January!

Shovel Headed and now this one is one of their best in my opinion. I think Kreator's last two are some of their best work as well.

I am not at all happy about Exodus's new album track 4. I hate that nu metal type vocal shit. I love power metal as well, but when you mix the agressive vocals with the singing, it just does something to the momentum of the song.

“Bonded By Blood” is one of the most influential albums from the underground years of thrash. I like “Pleasures of the Flesh” and “Fabulous Disaster” equally even though most people seem to prefer the latter. Both are classics. When “Shovel Headed” came out I was floored. Paul Bostaph’s drumming did a lot for the album, but I think the writing was equally impressive. I really hate to say it, but I think the new vocalist sounds better too. This new album sounds good, but I’m not sure it’s got “Shovel Headed” beat. I’ll be getting it anyway since I like all of Exodus’ albums.

I don't mind it at all. Sometimes new releases take a while to grow on me. I liked T.O.T.D alot. Thick guitar sound!

You are 100% Correct on that one. I can attest to the "Nu-Metal" sound ,Fear Factory(I do like them) does that alot(and now Divine Hearsy,) Harsh Singing, then Melodic "Laaaa,La,Laaaaaaa" I have always been a Thrash Guy,and the 1st Wave of Death Metal.

The VBR version is now floating around. I got it burned and have been listening on a real stereo instead of the low bitrate version thru computer speakers. This CD is really solid. The producer should really be credited. It has that Tempo of the Damned feel to it but more intricate and better produced than Shovel Headed. I see why they are calling this their Master of Puppets. I'm amazed these guys can produce something like this 20-something years into their careers.

Awesome! Exodus always puts out great albums. I loved Tempo of the Damned and Shovel Headed Kill Machine as well.
Rob Dukes is a great singer, sounds like a cross between Paul Baloff and Steve Souza.
