That was fantastic! As many people probably know that was one of JS Bach’s organ fugues and it includes several other melodies that are to be played in unison. I wonder if that dude arranged the whole composition on guitar himself. Anyone know if it’s been recorded professionally and made available on an album? It would be interesting to hear another guitarist and bass play the whole thing together.

Tocatta and Fugue in D minor. Some guy was bashing the player for his use of reverb, saying in essence it's simply a crutch. I think it mocks the sound of a pipe organ in a cathedral wonderfully. I hate these fuckin' kids on Youtube and Yahoo that have nothing better to do than throw unfounded insults around at fellow players. Shit's getting out of hand. Mass genocide, anyone?

nice not such a hard piece as far as shredding guitar goes (I think we all went through this one) but cute for Halloween and well done. OF course it would be much much better if he did this on a Jackson pointy guitar

Let him play his Ibanez if he has a bond with that guitar, who are you to be telling him to play something other?

Anyway, that was supurbly done. Heck in the song "Dreams of insanity" from my band I play the main theme with a similar thick reverb just because it makes it sound so sinister.

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw that.

All you have to do..is look to right of this first vid..and you see the dude
making another vid. Some British guy.. Very good technique..and imo
way more melodic than ANYTHING Buckethead ever did!

There are too many over critical flame warriors around isnt there. Especially concerning guitar techniques and such. Are they jealous or just total pricks or both?

I have to say though, Buckethead could play that with his ass hairs.
All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again.

I was thinking the same thing. Not that I could do it, but the
right-hand hammering didn't seem all that hard. But what I dug
was the song itself, and what really floored me were a couple of
those big 'piano stretch' chords he played to punctuate the
                            changes...

I don’t doubt that an experienced shredder could learn this with memorization and practice. I would think the hardest part would be adapting it for guitar since it was originally meant to be played on an organ which has a keyboard and a pedal board.
