  • Between The Buried And Me - Colors

Holy crap, any of you guys heard this? GO GET IT NOW!

Four words: off the fucking wall!

Vocals might be a buzzkill for most of you old geezers, but this stuff is seriously refreshing. I swear I needed new underwear when this disc was done spinning, some of those jazzy sections just catch you as a total surprise and you sit there smirking: 'hell yeah, this is tasty' and before you can think of those words BAM more frenzy and more frenzy and just plain more FRENZY!

You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

Their name is too long :P

Seriously though, is it drastically different than their older stuff?

Much more progressive. This is basically what Alaska was already trying to be. You can still hear obvious Metalcore in there, but it's just more 'metal', without the qualifier 'core' tagged on anymore. Gone are most of the emo passages as well.

I might have to check this out. These kids I was in a band with a couple years ago loved this band but I thought they sounded like shit.

Not the kind of band I would normally investigate. But since GOR loves it..I have to give it a listen.

            Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
