+1 on Eric Peterson. He's a great rhythm player! His lead work isn't too shabby either, when he does do a solo.

I've always thought James Hetfield is a far better guitarist than he gets credit for.

I also saw him with Vai on an earlier G3 .....He kicks butt! His 80's solo albums are great too
