  • Bruce Dickinson's kid...

This is interesting. One of Bruce's kids, Austin, does the vocals. I guess he had to rebel against his dad's singing style and go all Cookie Monster "vocal shred"! :ROTF:

      wow that sucks.

lmao, this is a bad example of kids following in their parents foot-steps, Bruce should have cut out his vocal chords at birth, I might as well just record audio of me vomiting, start up a myspace, and become the most infamous screamband on the planet "The One Man Puke"

Except he has some decent clean vocals too. The band is actually much better than I was expecting, good for him.

But it says the guitar players also do vocals and that Austin does "vocal shred". I dig them either way, just found it odd he would adopt a style much different than his dad.

The guitarists are listed as "backing vocals", I'd imagine he's doing at least a clean track on this. It also doesn't surprise me that he went a different way...easier to avoid comparisons that way.

I guess that's because very few people have the talent and technique to sing like mighty Bruce, whereas anyone with a bit of attitude and a poor digestive apparatus can sing like our boy Austin...

Bullshit. Doing harsh vocals is NOT something anybody can do.

I disagree, my cat can do it when it's got a hairball.

I would be bad-ass as hell, wouldn't it?

The most extreme vocals I will acknowledge as singing is Testament, mind you Cannibal Corpse should've been on Sesame Street:ROTF:

Yeah sure, everyone can do harsh vocals. Can everyone do it good? -No...

Everyone can do clean vocals as well. Can everyone do it good? -No...

I didn't like the "vocal shred" in this band... but claiming that all it takes to do brutal vocals is "a bit of attitude and a poor digestive apparatus"...

Brutal vocals done properly do take (some) talent and technique. Opeth in my opinion is the best example, and their clean vocals are great too.
