All your modes are based on major scales, even Aeolean (minor)... The chords played underneath determine whether it sounds major or minor to your ear.

It obvious he knows theory, but I don't like his playing at all. He tries to play faster than he's capable of or something... too sloppy.

I'll bet if he slowed it down a tad he'd be interesting to listen to.

I know, but he does use his major scale patterns more so than minor scales that we all know and love. He does know his theory fairly well and can write good songs and good leads, but yes, I agree he does play sloppy in that video.

I've also heard that he's very unethical with business and as well as other things and also has repeatedly sued Kiss over the years.

I think Vinnie Vincent is an influence on me what songwriting is concerned. My latest song "Slavantas" basically is the song "Exciter" from Kiss' "Lick it up" album but with different lirics, played in a different key and with a riff of my own make. I took the song structure and made it my own.

Vinny gets really sloppy at times. He trys to be the fastest guitarist when all the good fast guitarists know it's about playing each note well. He does make some cool sounds at times but that video was awful. WTF was that?
