that was awesome, but also a bit funny for me because I had only ever heard Testament's version, so I was like "wtf?" when they started the verse riff...my brain kept telling me "why the hell hasn't Eric stepped on the 'crunch' channel switch yet?"

BTW I didn't think his 2006 version at the academy was as good as that old one...only thing better was the camera

Anyway the man deserves a lot more credit for his influence, and it's kinda obvious where a certain swede got some inspiration!
I think I've mostly seen him (YJM) mention just Hendrix and Blackmore as influences though.

Her name was Monika. She wrote a book about his personal life, and on the cover was a picture taken the afternoon on the day he died. She got a lot of flack for leaving the house in the morning without bothering to call the police first. Weird story...
