...and we've had 4 rehearsals so far. It's not metal, but it's heavy..3-piece bass, drums & guitar.
I'm mostly playing the 7-string UVMC and the DNA clone and I can't decide if we'll play out with the Marshall or Vox amps. I'm leaning towards the Vox.
New drummer is f'kn great and he's got an original blue-tinted clear Ludwig Octaplus kit (8 toms) which looks just like the old Rat Race Choir drum kit- if any of you remember back that far....Bass player has a see-through blonde Fender Jazz/rosewood neck playing through Ampeg stuff.
So far we've worked up heavy versions of some cover tunes:
Littlewing
Saw Her Standing There
Lucille
Kashmir
Really Got Me
Custard Pie
Livin Lovin Maiden
Black Magic Woman
The Ocean
I'm excited about the Zep stuff 'cause I'm told I actually sound a bit like Plant on the vocals. We're headed into the studio for the obligatory demo recordings....website will be up after the holidays......we'll have sound and video clips too..
