Well, the wife and I went to the Van Halen show in Sacramento last night! I don't care what others are saying.... they were great! I've heard some people say that they are terrible, not last night, Eddie was on his game... Dave's voice was great and Wolfie can play bass well. BTW Eddie played two Charvies.... he's signing and dating them for eBay again. Do a search on EVH and you'll see them, Way different paint schemes this time!

wouldn't live up to the hype. You're correct about the actual reviews here, though...positive for the most part.

I saw them in New York, and I read some not-so-good reviews also, but the show I was at kicked A$$!! I had a smile on my face the entire show. I saw them many times back in the early 80's and I honestly had a "deja-vu" feeling while seeing this new show. I agree, it was a great show. Eddie did NOT play his solos "note-for-note," but's what's the fun in that. I love it when a guitar player improvises during a concert, makes it fun to see. Also, my 14 yr old son was there with me, and he is an 80's metal head (wonder where he got that from!) He sat there and all he could say after the show was "AWESOME!"
Glad you had a great time, just like me. And to make it even sweeter (for me), VH just anounced more concert dates and they are coming back to NY! Just might have to get myself some tickets to their Madison Sq Garden show. I can't wait!!!Guitars:
Charvel: USA Pro Mod Slime Green
1988 Model 2,
Jackson: Dinky HSS 'Blue/Orange Flame'
RR3
Gibson: 1978 Les Paul Spl Dbl Cut
1992 LP Studio 'Lite'
2005 SG Special
