Same with those Wal Mart First Act guitars. A guy I know at the local music store said people would get a kid a First Act and then bring it in to get set up properly and some were so bad, that they couldn't do anything to make it playable and in tune! My first guitar was a used PV Patriot for 150, including the case and I still have it 20 years later. Way better than any "starter pack".

Esteban, ha! His real name, of course, is Stephen Paul, and he's in his 60s or something. I recall an article they did in the paper, here, about him, cause he came from here (Pittsburgh) and he was in for his class reunion. He graduated, I think, in 1967, and they had his h.s. photo, which was very "Biff" looking. Paste-faced, white boy, ripping off the stupid. Chalk another one up for the baby-boomer generation!

Edumacate me. I missed something, who is this guy professing to be, anyways? Was he in a real band at some point in history that I missed?
BTW, HSN is blocked on my channel list, by the administrator, ME.

Nope. Sadly, I came from the same town I reside in. Here's a quick Wikipedia link:

And the article I read and learned about this a-hole:

I live about a stone's throw from his alma mater.

Embarrassing but he played at my work twice. I passed on seeing him both times.
He is supposed to be the second best flamenco guitar player in the world ( according to him)
Back when he started doing the home shopping he canceled all of his tour dates except for ours . I guess he makes a lot more money selling those shitty guitars.

Second-best flamenco player? Reminds me of that line from the Sean Penn movie, Sweet and Lowdown:

"I'm the best guitar player in the world. Well, except for this gypsy in France, Django Reinhart."

I've got to get me one of those now! How could I play without that raised B string, I always knew it was too low!

http://estebansbeachcondo.com/ !?! Incredible! He must be selling lots of guitars!

From harmony central: If I had to describe the guitar in a sentence: Mr. Plywood and Mrs. Plastic married and had this Chinese son.

"We were sitting on the bus one day and there were 5 of us hanging out. There was only one beer left in the cooler and we actually all took a little cup and split it. It was a pathetic day in a rock and roll when five grown men have to be sitting there sharing a beer. "

                                From his former violin/trumpet player:
"He'd say, 'This song was found in an archaeological dig in Egypt in the '20s and we found it and have written it out.' And it was just some kind of minor scale. I mean, there's no notation from Egypt. He'd tell people some song was found on a piece of papyrus in the temple of the gods. I don't know how people bought into it."

It's hard to go broke banking on the gullibility of the public. The man is an EVIL genius. This sort of salesmanship and general cheesiness is going on every minute of every day. Who wants to start a Christian flamenco ensemble
