I do remember an interview with Marty when he said that the clean middle eastern run he does on Holy Wars was the one "Dave" wanted and that he (Marty) liked something else...So Dave did dictate that according to Marty...
I don't think he's gonna switch to Dean. Al always played his Gibsons. I think it's a case where if the player did not have a profitable endorsement they would change. I can't imagine Carvin was paying Marty a lot or if Glen was endorsed at all. Remember, the point is making enough money to support your art, record sales, tickets, merch and endorsements.
Or maybe Dean's got deep pockets? They do already have a great 7 in the Rusty Cooley model.

Nothing wrong with endorsements at all. Dave told Marty that Carvins suck and he needed a real guitar, so that's how the Jackson deal came along. Though, Marty seems to be happy now with his Ibanez models.
Glen was a Jackson endorser while playing with King Diamond and his own band, and I'm sure he could have stuck with them or gone elsewhere with another endorsement, but it's cool to get some help and a little more recognition from Dave.

Marty did have a Jackson in his very early days I think... Don't know where the picture is, but he was playing a Zebra striped Kelly.
