How many of you know Michael Landau... I bet a lot of you don't... I guess he has a shitty career too lol
Of course I know Martin Landau, I couldn't name any of the films he's in though.

Who said Megadeth never helped Pitrelli's career? I asked a question. I have no idea what he's doing now. You've read something into my post that wasn't there, and had a go at everyone else in the process for some reason.

WHat the hell IS Al doing now anyway? He lacked a bit of charisma and movement on stage, but I always wonder if that was down to Dave telling him not to upstage him.
I find it easy to blame Dave for all the ills of the world.

In fact, I'd go as far as to say the solos on TSHF are fucking horrible.

            Taste eh? It's mad!
TSHF is way better than Risk, and I don't really even care for TSHF that much either. UA is a bit better, but it still seems to me that something is lacking, and it's not Glen Drover.

I believe Al Pitrelli is back in Savatage, or at least in Trans Siberian Orchestra.

                Yeah, it's lacking Dave Ellefson!

The funny thing about Jeff, he wasn't supposed to be the guitar player at the time. Read his bio with Megadeth...

True, but it still sounds like Megadeth even without him. Hell, IMO, Jimmie Lee Sloas (bass player on the album) and James McDonough who did the tour, as well as James Lomenzo who is on UA and in the band now, are all better bass players.
What's up with the Jim/James thing for all of Dave's bass players now?!? :ROTF:

it seems like a very commercial album to me... There is no word of blood and demons and stuff..

He made the album about the fucking United Nations for christ sake..

Chris Broderick's joining Megadeth is just a rumor right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the band.
You shouldn't be surprised because it's not a rumor.

Exactly. Even Mustaine said that Junior couldn't sing. He was a decent bass player, but I think Mustaine wrote a lot of the stuff anyway and told Junior to play it.

It will raise the profile of a player like Broderick for sure... especially at the beginning, curiosity factor. Also Megadeth is a known 'showcase band' for the lead guitar spot, and attracts a degree of attention because of that.

Al Pitrelli is a fantastic player, always was. Didn't quite fit in Megadeth in some ways, but I think it was 'just a paying gig' for him, and he was 'just a rental' for Dave. His mentality is different, since he is a session player/teacher type more than a band guy. His solos on TWNAH are up to snuff.

Broderick... I dunno. Not that interesting a choice to me. I would immediately put him at the bottom of the list of Megadeth lead players.

As for Polands playing on TSHF, it sucked royally, since it was a marketing idea of Daves, and I don't think Poland gave a sweet rats ass about it. He tossed of some quick solos, grabbed a cheque and ran out the door as fast as he could.
