RD & Rupe, I'm curious about something, I started to think Dave is keeping Broderick as a second option. He might be trying to bring Poland or Marty back and if that falls through he'll hire Broderick, can it be? Or is Broderick already in the band?

I've never heard of anyone else with that last name, much less another Steve.

[quote=khabibissell;1038146]I don't know why people keep saying that Glen is butchering Marty's solos live. I haven't watched a ton of clips, but the ones I saw we pretty good. To me, Glen seems like a very capable player.
take a look at the buenos aries Dvd.while i thought glen was capable of playing martys solos he does not do it with the same feel that that MF did and they seem sloppy and hurried.Al was the best at MF solos

Steve has definetly more bucks than Nicko, sessions with the biggest acts in the world has earned him a lot of breat
in the maiden DVD the early years, they interview gadd because he and nicko are buddies, and gadd talked about how nicko always got gigs first but would loose them because of his mouth. the little blurb on the screen said he was his tech around 1995 if memory serves me correctly....i will hafta pop the DVD on later to make sure i got it right.

i was a bit shocked. i use a yamaha steve gadd signature snare drum and i know he is an incredible jazz drummer...maybe it is a different steve gadd, but who knows!!!

Having said that, Chris Broderick is awesome and an asset to any band. I'm sure that if he joins Megadeth, you'll hear some mindblowing guitar work.

Youve got that right... Glen BUTCHED Marty's solos live... it was horrible.

If the rumor is true, then were in for a big surprise! CB is an AWESOME player, not just a shredder either. Hes an AMAZING classical player, which all in all I think will go great with Megadeth. I have a feeling that, if this is true, the new Megadeth album will be one of, if not the best ever.

when was this exactly? I'm curious to know more, as I'm a lifelong IM fan and never heard this before. and I love Nicko's drumming style.

Steve Gadd is world-reknowned in jazz, and he is known for coming in to Steely Dan's studio and doing the extremely involved drums on the song Aja in only one take. I find it really odd that he would have tech'd for a metal guy, but hey, a paycheck is a paycheck I guess.

    do tell...
