So, If Dave jumps off the Grand Canyon, Glen's gonna do the same too?

I don't think he's gonna switch to Dean. Al always played his Gibsons. I think it's a case where if the player did not have a profitable endorsement they would change. I can't imagine Carvin was paying Marty a lot or if Glen was endorsed at all. Remember, the point is making enough money to support your art, record sales, tickets, merch and endorsements.

Or maybe Dean's got deep pockets? They do already have a great 7 in the Rusty Cooley model.

AH, more than 3 solos in a song - one of the reasons RIP was the classic it was!

Oh dear, you're right! Well at least he'll look like young Petrucci and not old.

On the subject of Dave and his outlandish statements, he sounds more and more like a scientologist than a christian. I do not think, however that the people at revolver or blabbermouth have that much credibility when it comes to verbatim quotes. They are, after all, in the business of dredging up muck.

hahahahahaha, who cares if dave can't let go. that is HIS problem. if he HAS copied metallica, who cares? to me megadeth was always different. much more technical and less "catchy" songs. metal dudes that liked technical stuff gravitated to megadeth while the mainstream gravitated toward metallica. to me they are apples and oranges.

    and, again, who really cares?

stupid!? its obvious, but if i'm wrong then tell me why does it seem that megadeths albums got lighter with metallicas? coincidence? i think not.

If I recall correctly, Marty was just kind of messing around and whipped that out, and Dave said "Good enough" and Marty wanted to redo it, so Dave dictated that, but not in a creative sense.

When I first heard Drover was leaving my first thought was Rusty Cooley, he's great, plays Dean and would really do well in 'deth. Chris is a good pick too, I really hope they put up a couple video samples from this weekend's rehearsals to hear how they are gelling together.

if you are familiar with Vinnie's drumming style then he definetly didn't have enough place in that album, but he is a real pro and the most hired session drummer in LA right now so doing what the others want isn't a big deal for him
