megadeth(dave) needs to stop following metallica. james started singin then dave started singin. metallica had some crap albums and megadeth followed. lets hope dave takes it back to the old school!! yeah i know that my rant has almost nothing to do with the new guitarist, but i stopped buying megadeth albums years ago and i'd love to see megadeth come back heavy as hell

This should be a pretty sick lineup. Broderick seems so much more complete than any guitarist 'deth has ever had. Lomenzo is superb. Drover keeps getting better every time I see him (Big Menza fan here). I'm especially curious what kind of stage presence Broderick will bring to the shows.

Steve Smyth got his kidney transplant in December, I heard. Maybe he'll be back soon; Chris was brought in as a temproary replacement until Steve got healthy anyway IIRC.

I think this is good move. Broderick is a great guitarist and brings alot knowledge and skill. If he stays on for the new album, it should be interesting. Megadeth hasn't had a player that capable since Friedman IMO, though every once of them since has been good.

Seriously, whether this "new" guy stays with Megadeth depends on lots of things you guys haven't addressed. For instance;

1) Does CB like horses?

2) During down time, can he meet Dave's quota in coffee sales?

3) How is CB at fighting southern California fires?

4) Are CB's grooming habits better than Pitrellis?

5) CB promises to not crack "palsy" jokes at dinner.
