I'm surprised at how good they sound in that concert from 2007. They sound better than ever. Check out some other videos from that concert - Demin and Leather was awesome. I'd buy the DVD from that concert.Comment

Doug Scarrat and I hung out for several hours..we actually went out for a Pizza. He gave me a cool demo of instrumental stuff he did..called "Maddogs and Englishmen"..or somethin' like that.
His main guitar was a cheaper gold Wolfgang during KG tour. He called me at home 3 times wanting my Wolfgang, which is still "new"..but he just wanted to trade..ummmmm no fuggin' way.
I agree, Saxon is better than ever..I have all their stuff from A thru Z ..great band.
Biff sweats more than Meatloaf..he's takes off the long coat after 2-3 songs into the set..

Yeah, Saxon rule, they are the true survivors of the NWOBHM! Biff nowadays looks more and more like Gandalf, and he's both a metal legend and a super nice guy!
I met him at a hotel here in London back in November, he and Paul Quinn were to attend the Classic Rock Awards dinner so we had a few pints at the hotel's bar.Comment
