After watching the first two videos above, the Merv Griffin link is by far worse, though the first is unwatchable.

It all actually makes it hard to believe it morphed to this:
JON MIKL STEVE PRICE MIKE FAVATA KEITH ZAZZI rock t ci THOR LIVE IN LONDON CAMDEM PALACE 1984ROCK THE CITY FULL VERSION

1000% better, but not quite there.

I love how you hear the crowd going wild but there's only about 15 people actually there. And there'snly about 4 of them rockin' out. LOL.

The first two vids made me feel a little gay for watching them. The third made me feel a little better. I then watched a few Pantera vids and I'm ok now.

            David Bowie on steroids.

Now, if we take Thor, add Alice Coopers pumped up guitar player(forgot his name) and Bobby Rock on drums......... we'd have Roidtalica.

I did not think a new low could be reached beyond the VV/GE Smith video of a previous thread, however here we are.

Funny thing is... (dare I admit this)?

My high school band covered "Rock The City" back in 1984.

                      Seriously.

Of course we also covered Witchkiller - Day of the Saxons, and Bitch - Riding In Thunder.

Another funny tidbit, my guitar teacher back in NJ (Karl Cochrane) who has toured with Ace Frehley and Joe Lynn Turner actually was in Thor back in the early 80's and is on the pictured on the back of the record that "Rock The City" is on.

In fact, from the Thor website:

"A very rare photo of an early version of the THOR band...probably in the early 80's. This was the Unchained era, definitely. Pictured from left to right: Keith Zazzi, Karl Cochran, Thor, and Mike Favata. This was before Steve Price joined the band on guitar."

This is the guy who has written and performed Thors material since 2002...His Prog Metal band Empyria...

This is what the new Thor stuff is like...Much better musically...(Still not my cup o tea) "Evil Twin" and "Into the Noise" tracks..

Thor just basically comes in when it is all written and recorded and sings over the vocal trax...I know thatis def Mike on the "Into the Noise" track...When he comes up with something cheezy....he says..."I'll use that for the new Thor stuff"! LOL

Man, I remember seeing Thor in an old movie theater turned "concert hall" on Long Island back in the early 80's. Man, I forgot all about that "guy"/band until just now. (I don't know if that's a good thing or not!)
