the inside of my vinyl credits bc rich, marhsll amps, jackson guitars, and fernandez guitars, tho obv at least one of those would be for the bassist. i know he has been a long time bc rich user, and was playing a warlock certainly in the hear n aid video, which would have ben just before he joied dio's band

yeah, I think he said, that when he joined Dio, right around that time, everyone & their brother was starting to play Warlocks, so he started playing Superstrats.

I saw Dio live a couple years ago with Craig Goldie and was very disappointed, in Goldie that is, not Dio. He couldn't play most of Vivian Campbell's solos so they just cut them out

I don't have the CD, but I have a DIO compilation that has Dream Evil on it. Cool tune and I like Goldy's playing on it.

I love Naked in the Rain, it never gets played live, it is one of those "unsung" Dio songs, yet the lyrics and overall mood are just fantastic!

I agree, I believe he was mainly using BC Rich's and Marshalls.

When this disc first came out, I wasn't crazy about it, but over the years it has
proven itself to be a classic. I really like his songwriting and lead playing.

However, even though I like him on his own material, he does not cover Dio back catalog very well.

Aldrich was the best at that- he was great on "Killing the Dragon" and did all of the various phases of Dio's career justice.

i've seen Dio a bunch of times. i think it was with craig goldie about 7 years ago or so at the 9:30 club in D.C. where he was playing a hot pink Yamaha superstrat. i thought he was tearing it up good.

Goldy is my personal favorite Dio Player. I think his tone/playing was awesome when I saw him on the Magica tour.

A better fit for Dio than the amazing Aldrich IMO!!!

I agree his playing on Magica is awesome. I really, really dig that album though so I may be biased. I seem to remember him using Yamaha Pacifica's at some time. Am I mistaken?

No, I think he did use a Pacificas..at some point.

Yngwie opened for Dio when I saw him. I couldn't believe how killer Goldy's tone was during his five minute solo after listening to Yngwie's 60 minute solo..

Goldy said alot more to me during those fives minutes!!!
