  • New Decrepit Birth

    Hi

Did anybody else check out the new Decrepit Birth album, Diminishing between Worlds ?? I can only say "HOLY FUCK". It's completely awesome. Granted i really like nearly all death metal records but this one just blew me away. They changed their style quite a bit, going from ultra brutal fast death metal to a bit more melodic and dare i say progressive style but still very brutal. It really sounds like Decrepit Birth meets Death (especially the new stuff like Symbolic and Sound of Perseverance).

Check out this solo take from one of the guitar players playing a solo from one of the songs of the new album:

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

And of course they are jackson players
This may very well be the best death metal release this year although the year is still young. Well if Origin release a new album this year, this will be tough competion, we'll see.

Well they still are a underground death metal band so they are not very known. To be fair there are hundreds and thousands of underground death metal bands around so i guess nobody knows all of them (maybe not even Bill ).
Anyway tell me what you think about them once you gave them a listen. I think their new release is so awesome although i also like their older stuff. Of course this won't let you forget about Death but it makes the pain a bit smaller that there will never be any new Death stuff.

guitarsjb, yep you have to get this

Amazing players for sure. I liked the songs that I listened to a lot. As you said they manage to mix brutal death with progressive death element perfectly. Actually they really overplay in some songs .
I prefered the brutal parts although. The only thing that left me a bit perplexed is that in the progressive death parts they sound like Death, a lot. Maybe they could try to play some different stuff, but YMMV, I love Death so much that for me noone will ever be able to replace them. Decapitated with Horganic Hallucinosis was the only new band that surprised me, but I dunno if things will change after the accident.
          Thanks for the suggestion btw!

I listened to their album 1-2 weeks ago, I'm not a brutal death metal guy but one of my close friends is a hard-core fan and he makes me listen all the new stuff, so I can say I have an idea about what's going on

I have to say I don't like the new Decrepit Birth album, I appreciate their technical skills a lot but the music itself didn't sound that creative to me. it's not like Necrophagist for example, creative, appealing and technical

I am good friends with their singer Bill. They just came through Seattle here about 4 days ago. I went to the show, and even though Bill put me on the list, the security at that stupid venue was such a bummer I didn't even want to go inside. I'm just a spoiled bitch I guess, used to walking straight backstage and not having to deal with 250 lbs of fat powered by a tablespoon of brains. Ok, my rant is over...
