  • Andy Timmons clinic today!

I'm going to see Andy Timmons today in Chicago! I can't wait. Has anyone ever attended one of his clinics before? What should I expect to see? This is my first one.

I've seen him play at the Mesa Boogie booth at the NAMM show, he's got skills! Enjoy, get pics and tell us all about it when you get back!

He played in Danger Danger back in the day, then went solo in the early 90's. He's from Dallas and plays mostly local shows and events. He's hard to catch. Check out his bio on his site www.andytimmons.com. Until this year he was endorsed by Ibanez and had his own signature model.

Here is one of my fav's:
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

One of his biggest songs, "Cry For You" shot at the 90th Anny Ibanez show and on his bootleg DVD:

          GREAT PLAYER!

To say he has skills is an understatement. He's extremely versatile.

Wow, I didn't realize he wasn't with Ibanez anymore. I wonder what is up with that.

Ok, just got home from the clinic. It was AMAZING! I'll post more details and pics soon if I can. To answer cdwillis about the Ibanez deal:

...basically what he had to say was he just wanted to be able to play a Strat one day if chooses, or anything else as the mood strikes him. That was about it, he didn't want to be "limited" based on the stipulations of a contract/endorsement. He said he was still going to mainly play his signature models but just wanted to freedom to break away from time to time.

Sorry for the thread hijacking, but does anyone have a link for the video that this is taken from?:

A beautiful ballad by Andy, live from "Guitar Day" , Transilvania - Milan, Italy 6/19/2005

I remember downloading the entire gig a couple of years ago, and I'd really like to have it again!

                  It says: " "Guitar Day" , Transilvania - Milan, Italy 6/19/2005 "
