The first guitar I had with that chopper T was the Kotzen and now I put it in all of my Tele's. It turns a Tele into a true rock and roll machine, I get killer tone through a Marshall. I don't really use the "split" mode much, I just run it on the normal stacked bridge config for a straight up rock tone.

I've found the American Deluxe Tele's to be a great value for around $1,200 plus a $60 Chopper-T and you're ready to rock. The maple necks are just as good as any of my USA Charvels. I like the American Deluxe's because they have 22 frets.

Sorry for the diversion...back to the topic at hand - Mr. Kotzen.

I wanted a Kotzen tele, but now, I'm building my own tele instead. I bought the body, and now I have to buy the rest of it.
      I wish my hair-color was EDS :/

Saw him with Stanley Clarke a couple of years ago ... a true shredder.

i've never though of him as overtly shreddy myself, i think he does it incredibly tastefully and not always about technicality

Stanley Clarke doesn't hire shredders... he hires real musicians
