  • Robin Trower Santa Cruz Tomorrow!

Just found out Robin Trower's playing in Santa Cruz tomorrow. I think I'm gonna make the road trip, haven't seen him since 79 or 80. Should be cool.

I saw him 2 years ago and Davey Pattison was singing.
Can't remember who the bassist was...

BTW. he really kicked ass. You should have a great
time. RT just put out a new CD with Jack Bruce on
bass and vox, but I doubt he's touring with the band...

He did on one album, a bunch of blues tunes. I think
it was Someday Blues, maybe 5-6 years ago?

That was Jimmy Dewar back in the early days. It's been Davey for a loooong time. Jimmy passed away a few years back - his voice was amazing.

Trower is one of my all time favorites - I've been listening to Bridge of Sighs on a regular basis for 30 years - it never gets old.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

I absolutely love Trower. Like Tim, Bride of Sighs stays in regular rotation on my stereo. I have never seen him live yet though...let us know how it was.

                    same here
I saw him live back in 78-79 in Boston and I've been a huge fan ever since.
I hope he comes around this way again, I'd love to see him live again.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Great show, he played alot of the old stuff and some I wasn't familiar with. His playing was definitely on and he really seemed to be into it. Band was good too.
