    Bingo!

I've seen LoG live twice now and both times I was in genuine fear of my life, but I was still fucking rocking out. :ROTF:

I saw that tour at Trout Air, or some such place in MN.

When I was about 16 I was at an outdoor show with Mama's Boys, Ratt, Iron Maiden and some others I forget. Some dudes in their 20's were beating me trying to get me to ask to be lifted out. I just told them I wasn't going anywhere so FO. They eventually picked a new target.

If an individual was trying that shit, I'd wait for a crowd serge. When the crowd started moving backwards, I'd give an elbow while they were off balance and be rid of the annoyance.

At a Megadeth show (Marty's last) we were way off to the side to avoid the pit. A guy crowd dived and almost flattened my 5'5" wife. I told him if he didn't take better aim next time he wouldn't be going home. He kept his feet on the floor.

That was the place. Water was confiscated. Drugs went in with a wink. They couldn't sell drugs, but they charged something like $3 for a cup of water barely bigger than a shot glass.

That's awesome! I'm originally from J-town, but my first show wasn't until the Ratt/Poison and Maiden in early '87. My friends and I always winced about missing Ozzy/Metallica, but we were pissy middle schoolers back then! lol I know what you mean with the human funnel though. There was no line formation or anything out front, just a mass of people trying to cram as close to the arena doors as possible, trying to get in ASAP as it all was general admission. It's kinda weird that was still allowed with those concertgoers dying at that Who show in Ohio in '79.

As far as dangerous shows, I don't have too much going on. The Sepultura show at the Troc in Philly in '94 was memorable as far as pits/moshes go. They began the set with a loop of the Refuse/Resist intro and when they finally kicked in, the whole place just exploded. I thought I could chill standing way in the back near the bar,but nope, that place was just a masss of flowing bodies.

Anybody who's been in a wall of death should have good stories. This LOG vid always cracks me up. Try and follow the dude in the blue/white shirt!
Awsome video of Lamb of Gods ozzfest Wall of death

Craziest thing I saw was Monsters of Rock in 86. Alpine Valley, WI. I was in the last damn row of the seats, right in front of the grass/general admission area. I don't know if it was after Dokken, Scorps or what but right before Metallica came on the numb nuts in the grass started throwing huge pieces of sod! They were just ripping huge chunks of earth and hurling them down toward the stage. My buddies and I were at perfect range for the stuff to be landing. Just crazy!! Death was not imminent...lol...but made for an interesting experience.

The same thing happened at the Family Values stop in Denver in 2006. I was going through the crowd looking for family and got pelted a few times by chunks of sod. Shit pissed me off.

Metallica, Justice tour I think, although it may have been Black. NJ Arts Center. Lawn seats. Fire got set dead in the middle of the lawn, which slopes away down hard to a fence...if you fall you're basically going into the fence, especially if the grass is a bit damp. Now that I think about it it must have been Black, because it was "I just discovered this band and when you listen to metal you are supposed to PUNCH PEOPLE!" crew.

So I'm watching these douchehandles do their thing, jumping over the fire (blissfully unaware of Jump In the Fire" I'll wager). A little tiny young female security guard comes up and starts putting the fire out.

Some scumbag levels here with a forearm to the back of the neck & she hits the grass & slides down it, obviously limp and out cold.

We were like WTF but before we could even move 4 huge male security guards come out of nowhere and beat the guy to a bloody pulp. I mean beat him horribly, picked him up, and rushed him out of the gates, where I imagine it only got worse.

It might not have been the "And Justice for All...." tour, but there was some justice that night.

You were killed by the electricity? If not, you weren't electrocuted you plum!
Could have been worse, you could have been sodomised by Oderus Urungus and fed into a mincer.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

Did they do that wall of death or had they quit doing it by then? The two times I saw them were right after they quit that, I was genuinely afraid that it was going to happen anyway.

I've been in the pit at Slayer several times.. not totally by choice, just want to get up good and close and it comes with the territory. I did get my nose cracked pretty good once by some dudes shoe/foot who was crowd surfing.

I'd say the Pantera pits are no picnic either. Been in and near those a few times. Some of those folks are just plane insane.

Ah, Pantera, my first pit experience, in the summer of '91 or '92 supporting Vulgar. It was actually pretty tame by today's standards, probably because the venue was so small, at the metropol in Pittsburgh...also it as my 1st time to mosh, crowd-surf, and stage dive, which was trip.

There were 4 of us and all of us were new to this. My friend "volunteered" our other friend by pushing him into the pit, and after seeing him survive we joined in, lol. I was the 1st to surf and stage dive out of the 4, which after a few times I got tried different styles, ending with flipping forward and landing on my back on the crowd's hands. This worked for a few times, but the last time the people thinned out a bit and I slipped off and fell on my head on the concrete floor, lol. Man, my head was sore for the rest of the night! I think I only have been to one other show that ever tolerated stage-diving, which I also did, but didn't do the stupid move above!

I saw LoG a few months back at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. That pit was fucking brutal. Best show I have EVER been to.

I was dumb enough to stand by the barricade in front of the Manson/Slayer show. One good thing was the goth chicks pressed into me, but some chicks hip bone was impaled into my kidney. The Manson decides to walk in front of me, well I nearly slipped on the vag juice the splated on the floor (j/k). But they all surged forward to touch this guy (Manson) and I almost blacked out. Oddly enough my gut saved my rigs from being broken against the metal barricade. Some jock guy also tried to reach out to him pushing my head so much I could hear my heart beat with my ear squished on my shoulder.

Goth chicks wanting attention from Manson are worse than drunk Slayer fans dammit
