bit of grey through the beard, hair tied back. That would make a difference. Actually, this is the first pic I've seen of Reb with his hair tied back in I don't know how long.

Cool story. I always liked Winger, and not for the girl thing either. They never deserved the bad rap they got from Metallica cause look who is now short haired and put out an album the sounds like total ass. Winger may have went right along with the image thing right from the bat but atleast they didn't do it after they made it big pissing off most of thier fans at the time. Who's the poser now ?

Bar owners can get a little strict on the rules since fines can be pretty stiff. In NY the fine for the bar cought with a customer having a drink outside any designated is $3k for the first offence.

Great story Rupe, you're a good Dad! He should remember that for years, and when they die (not too long, from looking at the pics!), he'll always be able to say he shook them by the hand.
I hope you told him the gig was blinding, soooooo good, oh, fantastic. Just to piss him off just a little bit that he couldn't get in! Next time, son!

I've never heard of Winger till last year, they are a great band. Reb's an awesome guitar player!

COOL story! THANKS for posting and sharing. I got to hang with Reb back at Namm for a couple of hours, it must be the fact that his hair is pulled back under the cap.. he didn't look bad at Namm. He's a monster player and extrememly giving of his time and talking to fans, etc.

Wow, Reb looks like Gary Sinise (CSI New York) with his hair tied back! And I don't think he's gained THAT much weight! If he looks old - and has gained weight - it's because he's in his mid-40s and loves his beer! But he's doing better than a lot of us who are of a similar age - or a bit older!
