The new song sounds great and having Alex back seals the deal. When does the new CD come out?

New song rocks! Very cool. Almost sounds like if Metalica would have kept putting out albums after "And Justice For All"

Since "low" is my favourite Testament record, only because of James, I'm not really looking forward to this as much, but since James hasn't really done anything since Low or his two solo records then I'll just have to get this anyhow!

first song posted was a bit boring! I mean come on, who doesn't love Dog faced Gods??????

            fuckin classic song!

Me and my friends always described Testament as sounding like Metallica, but better, back around '87 :ROTF:. They did the ballad thing better, they had better solos (wtf Skolnick), more intense riffs and better drums (duh). Especially live, Chuck was always a force, though some (most) of the studio recordings really blew in the vox dept. I reckon that with Metallica's producers and budget, Chuck would have been better represented. Regardless, today Mr. Billy sounds as big and mean as he sometimes looks. Thrash is back and Testament rules.

I'm pretty excited for this cd, although I wish they still had Nick Barker why did he leave and or get kicked out?

AFAIK there were problems with Nick Barker's VISA, so he couldn't enter the states for the recordings. Paul Bostaph was in the area and available, so they went for him instead.

Would be great if Ibanez re-issued the 540 P-II. Not that one thing has to do with another, but I love that guitar.

That would be pretty cool. Only guitars I've seen Alex playing these days with Testament are LPs. Would be nice of Eric got his own Dean model too.

My favorite Alex guitar was his Charvel Koa San Dimas II with gold hardware and floyd. He played those when he joined Savatage and the reason why it is my main guitar today. I still have the 1995 Guitar World/Guitar Player adds with him with the koa.

A local store had the Koa in stock and I special ordered my trans green quilted maple over walnut San Dimas III ..I waited almost a year for it..but I was worth the wait!

The Koa became my main guitar because there is no paint to scratch..it held up very well over the years. Especially since its been my right arm since 1995...and still looks and sounds great!
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
                          Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

That very guitar was on ebay a few months ago. I thought about pulling the trigger, but didn't. IF I had known, I'd have given a heads-up.

Yeah, Aron ..these guitars rule!!! they look, feel and sound fantasic..and it a USA SD Charvel. It doesn't get better than that for strathead geetars..IMO!!

What did it go for..do you remember. I wonder if their value held up. I would think it would be a collectors in the near future. I think they only made 'em for a year or two..

My green SDIII is LN..a perfect 10..I never play it..it still smells new...still have the reciept and paperwork.
