So the Led Zep tour cant happen? Why is Robert Plant
As far as I'm aware the Krause thing was already signed and sealed - so the Led Zep thing couldn't be done until that contract was out the way.
Who cares anyway. While I fucking LOVE near enough every Zep album, watching them perform live on DVD or whatever is a rather boring experience. I don't think I'd care much for seeing them on tour.
Why do we keep beating this dead horse?
There are plenty of vintage bands that still sound great.
Zep was always shaky as a live show. And Plant hasn't found a way to make up for his vocal deterioration.
Let the albums tell the story.

What he said
"Wow,... that was some of the hardest rockin ever. Hardest to listen too."

Could it be that the Page/Krauss album and tour are doing mighty fine without it being part of the Zep whirlwind? Maybe he's just having fun with what he's already doing.
My neigbors dragged me to see 38 Special Friday night, and the opening act was "Zed Leppeilin", a Zeppelin tribute act.
I can't stand Led Zeppelin, but as a tribute act, the openers actually did a VERY good job. All members looked and sounded the part. In fact the guitarist should have probably played sloppier if he wanted to truly sound like Page.
I couldn't help but wonder if they actually sounded better than Zeppelin did on most nights.

Good Lord! The rod up that man's butt must have a rod up its butt!
Old, way past their prime, incomplete and perhaps have the common sense to preserve their dignity and place in Rock 'n Roll heaven.
I tend to agree. But IMO, if they were gonna do it, they should've done it 10 yrs ago when Page/Plant toured in '98. It was a good show, and they were...10 years younger!
"Your work is ingenius…it’s quality work….and there are simply too many notes…that’s all, just cut a few, and it’ll be perfect."
There was a Page interview in a guitar magazine (forget which one) and he said he thought a tour should happen. Maybe after the Krauss shows. I guess I'm in the minority here but I'd go no matter what. If there was one show I wouldn't miss for anything in the world, this would be it......well I might have to add a summer show with this line up...
Phil, Bobby, Trey, Hornsby, Mickey, and Billy, now that would rock too :-)
