Youtube is blocked at work, but if the Yngwie video is him at the Fender booth at NAMM '07, I know it. I'm a YJM fan, and think his tone is great, but it sucked there. I started looking closer at the videos for a Marshall and couldn't see one. I have a feeling Fender made him play through a Fender amp (maybe the Metalhead?). And it sounded like shit!
I guess you haven't heard "Unleashed in the East"
Some of the Best "Marshall" inspired amp tones I've ever heard!
+1, I am shocked that someone that is old-school enough to dig the Jackson/Charvel world could say such a thing ... I HATE KK's tone, but Tipton's tone on Screaming for Vengence is one of my all-time faves
Being a New Yorker, this happens a lot with the women you date:
One of my ex-girlfriends had THE worst tone. She sounded like Fran Drescher from the Nanny. Every time we had an argument I'd let her win in order to shut her up.

*** How come on the Howard Stern show Brett told him they were very
lucky, that their management was honest, and they still had a ton o' dough left today, from the 80's? He told Howard (pre "Rock of Love" tv
show too!) That he had more than $10Million !! So which is true?
My story dates to around 1987 or so... when the band had only been out in LA for about 6 months.
Pre "Dalk Turdy to me"
