Youtube is blocked at work, but if the Yngwie video is him at the Fender booth at NAMM '07, I know it. I'm a YJM fan, and think his tone is great, but it sucked there. I started looking closer at the videos for a Marshall and couldn't see one. I have a feeling Fender made him play through a Fender amp (maybe the Metalhead?). And it sounded like shit!

Personally, I love Eric Johnson's various tones. And there are a lot of manufacturers that try to get Eric's "tonal" endorsement for their gear.

Eric Johnson and George Lynch were mentioned in the same post. I must be deaf 'cause I sure don't get it...

Some of the Best "Marshall" inspired amp tones I've ever heard!

+1, I am shocked that someone that is old-school enough to dig the Jackson/Charvel world could say such a thing ... I HATE KK's tone, but Tipton's tone on Screaming for Vengence is one of my all-time faves

Good god I was too busy laughing at his little podgy cheeks. He looks like a hamster.

    Yngwie has terrible tone there.

If your getting yngwie to play, why not bring a descent amp as well?

My story dates to around 1987 or so... when the band had only been out in LA for about 6 months.
