i gave up on his songwriting after The Extremist.
once he got into all those electronica sounds i didn't care for what he was doing.

but everything up through that album was amazing.

I feel like Satch and Zakk Wylde have both been very uninspiring lately. These guys are guitarists that blew me away when I was a young pup.

I'm a fan, but I'm afraid that this one is crap. It's down there with the debut, self-titled, and Engines. Horrible tone, and the songs sound like a Satriani parody.

You guys aren't making me actually excited to check the mail. I pre-ordered the new disc through Amazon.

The extremist and the self-titled album are the only ones I still listen to (yes, I actually like that one). I heard him live a couple of years ago--the last half an hour I was pretty bored and was just waiting for the show to end.

            Regards,
            Mads

I attended his GC clinic in Natick last week.
It was pretty cool to see him up close and listen to some of his stories.
I've always been a huge Satch fan and probably always will be.
Although I thought Super Collosal was Just horrific.

Was he using the JSX at GC during his visit or something else? I remember a rumor going around here a month or so ago talking about him leaving Peavey.

The rumor was BS. He's still profiles the JSXs on his website.

Probably had a small grain of truth, though, in that he's got an effects pedal line coming out with Vox this summer.

He was using a JSX combo when I saw him at the GC in Natick last week,
                    and he sounded great.
Vox is making him a pedal, I don't think he's not leaving Peavey at anytime soon.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?
